Atlanta-based Resurgens, home to Ghost Gaming and Skillshot Media, has launched a third division, Ghost Studio, focusing on designing proprietary games on Unreal Engine for Fortnite (UEFN). Videogames represent the largest entertainment industry - and a social connector for hundreds of millions of people. The opportunities in this space continue to grow as new technologies are introduced to the marketplace. The launch of UEFN enables faster, economical deployments of new games into a sophisticated environment, with millions of existing players. Ghost Studio’s new games will be built upon its owned Ghost Gaming IP, which has a social media reach of over 20 million and 55 signed gaming influencers.

Resurgens is an SMV Fund I portfolio company with 44% YoY revenue growth, having grown revenue 10x since our investment. Resurgens boasts the ultimate development campus and ecosystem: It leverages decades of executive experience (core team drove the growth at Hi-Rez Studios), uses a core team incubated on-site in an exceptional studio environment, and has been involved in workforce development since 2020. Partnerships have been announced this year with Blimpie, Sly, BroadcastHER Academy, United Spinal Association of Georgia, United States Esports Federation (launching International Esports Exchange), and UEL.
